Build national trending moments by linking videos submitted to Snapchat, building a 'Story' for geo-tagged locations (Campus Stories) reaching over 500k unique daily viewers.
Collaborated with cross-functional teams in the office and represent Snapchat as media personnel on-site at events developing national & international Stories reaching over 100M people.
After recording a snap, users are presented with the option to add their video to their story or to 'Our Story'.
If users submit to 'Our Story' internally we can see the snap, and make the decision if we can / should use the snap for a 'Story'.
Campus Stories are localized stories, viewable once you are nearby or at a university.
If your snap makes it to the Campus Story (or a different, larger national story) your views skyrocket, so many students would submit their best videos in hopes to make it on the story.
Our goal was to select and edit videos for the story, stitching seemly random moments together, prompting engagement, eventually creating a narrative.
During our curation, we update the tiles and assets used to get users to click into the story and stay in the story until the end.
